A Chartered Structural Engineer (MIStructE) and Chartered Fire Engineer (MIFireE), Mostafa is the Managing Director of TechNorma. As a Structural Fire Engineer, he leads the team with a focus on structural performance under fire conditions, structural fire engineering, and product assessment. He is dedicated to advancing public safety through innovative, practical, and technically robust solutions.

Mostafa collaborates with leading committees including the British Standards Institution and the European Committee for Standardisation. He also works with Collaborative Reporting for Safer Structures (CROSS) and the Institution of Structural Engineers, where he contributes to critical discussions and initiatives.

As a published author, Mostafa has written extensively on structural fire engineering. His book, Behaviour and Design of Steel and Composite Connections in Fire, was the first dedicated book on this subject. He is also the lead author of The Performance in Fire of Volumetric and Panellised Modular Steel Framed Construction, further contributing to industry knowledge on the fire performance of modern construction systems. In addition to his research and publications, Mostafa has delivered technical presentations and mentored engineers worldwide, sharing his knowledge to support safer and more innovative designs.
